College of Catering and Public Service of Nur-Sultan, in cooperation with the project office of Rýhanı jańǵyrý (from Kazakh – “spiritual renaissance”), held a
Round table devoted to the topic “Rýhanı jańǵyrý – is the foundation of national values and preservation of the uniqueness”. This event was full of guests – heads from the education department, representatives of the national chamber of entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Atameken”, directors of general-education schools and technical and professional educational institutes, researchers and ethnographers of national cuisine, specialists of the restaurant business, teachers and students themselves. Within the framework of the project entitled “Forgotten national dishes” the work done so far by the College was presented and discussed.
Also, several other topics were discussed. Expert of history of national cuisine, ethnographer and academic Aigerim Musagazhinova gave a presentation on “Kazakh dishes as national brand of the country”. Next, Deputy Head of the College, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Gulnar Saparbekova delivered a presentation on the topic “Mainstreaming of the project “Forgotten national dishes” and determining the criteria”. Finally, the founder of RiM Restaurant School and PhD in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Raushan Seitova was given the floor and she discussed on the topic “Modern ways of perception of Kazakh national cuisine”.
